Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her speech-language pathologist, Dr. Fabiane Hirsch Kruse, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, joined NAA President Darlene Williamson, M.A., CCC-SLP on December 8, 2022 at 7 pm ET, for a conversation about life with aphasia. She was presented with the Martha Taylor Sarno Advocacy Award for her achievement in fulfilling the mission of the National Aphasia Association to promote public awareness and understanding of aphasia.

 

Congresswoman Giffords personifies what is possible for individuals living with aphasia. Learn how her advocacy work complements the mission of the NAA, and hear a special message from the NAA’s founder Martha Taylor Sarno in this final Ask the Expert marking the NAA’s 35th anniversary.
