Long before the pandemic, the National Aphasia Association started the Aphasia Cafe, an online, monthly, aphasia-friendly chat aiming to bring together people with aphasia, caregivers, and people who work with people who have aphasia. Each month, we change the topic, moving from concrete tips (how do you navigate the grocery store) to heartfelt discussions (what are your goals for this year?). Some people come every month. Others join us from time to time. All are welcome to pop in during the hour.

After the pandemic hit, we saw group after group move online.

We provided instructions for hosting your own meeting, and many clinics followed the guide and set up their own programs—some daily, some weekly, and some monthly, like the NAA.

We often get asked about other online chats, and we wanted to create a place people could go to find out which groups were currently meeting online.

We update the bottom portion of the post once a month on the 5th.

Please direct all requests for more information to the person in the listing. They may not see comments left on this post, so you should reach out directly.
