The Center for the Study of Aphasia Recovery (C-STAR) is part of the Aphasia Lab at the University of South Carolina. We conduct clinical research treatment studies and provide community outreach programming for people with aphasia and their family members.  Some of the programs provided include:

  • Weekly in-person, as well as online, recovery groups
  • Monthly “Lunch Bunch” meetings at local restaurants
  • Annual aphasia educational and awareness programs
  • Tablet loaner program
  • Aphasia Ambassador program
  • Community Leadership Academy course in collaboration with Able SC
  • Drama Club
  • Community outings
