OUR MISSION:
The mission of SCALE is to improve the quality of life for people living with aphasia and their families by:

Providing individuals with aphasia a place to connect

Offering interactive group activities designed to support and empower members as they re-engage in community

Providing educational materials, training and support for family members

Striving to raise public awareness and understanding of aphasia through community outreach and advocacy projects
SCALE is a specialty program of The League for People with Disabilities Adult Medical Day Program. We accept medical assistance, veteran’s benefits, private pay or any other form of insurance that pays for medical day services. The medical day program is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to provide Adult medical day services to participants eligible under multiple Maryland State Waiver Programs. This body sets the rates for medical day programs. The current fee for service is $75.99 per day. SCALE’s program is not covered by traditional medical insurances or Medicare.
