Who I Am

My name is Rachel Fiore, M.S. CCC-SLP. I am a speech-language pathologist specializing in aphasia. My education includes a B.A from the University of Chicago and an M.S. from the University of Arizona. I treat patients at University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. I also founded and facilitate a stroke support group at UMC called “Different Strokes.”

Who I Treat

I evaluate and treat anyone who has difficulty communicating or thinking due to an injury, illness, or accident. Most of my patients have trouble speaking because of a stroke. For those patients, I also run a free support group twice a month.

How to Get Treatment

To schedule a visit, you will need a referral from your doctor. Have your doctor fax their referral to University Medical Center- New Orleans. Once your referral has been faxed, a scheduling professional will call you to schedule an appointment.
