Aphasia Community Friendship Center (ACFC) is a weekly, non-profit community program advocating for the recovery of persons with aphasia, regardless of stage of recovery or ability to pay. ACFC provides a stimulating environment, aphasia-friendly programs, and person-centered support . . . supported conversation, physical fitness, music & art therapy, caregiver support, family activities, aphasia chorus. ACFC is the ‘next step’ for persons with aphasia following their discharge from formal speech therapy. Individuals with PPA, Parkinson’s, TBI, brain tumor, as well as stroke survivors are welcome. Individuals & their caregivers have the option of singing in the chorus, Loud & Proud Singers, only. No singing experience necessary.
