Aphasia Program. Aphasia is an acquired communication disorder that impairs a person’s ability to process language. Individual treatment, designed to assist in the recovery of speech, language, reading, writing and functional communication, is provided at the clinic. Group therapy is employed to support individual treatment, and to provide opportunities for social participation. The program also includes a group for caregivers of people with aphasia by referral.
