Highlands Speech Therapy

Highlands Speech Therapy was created to bring high quality, person-centered rehabilitation to the residents of Virginia. Individuals who have experienced a stroke, brain injury, or are living with a neurodegenerative disorder often lack access to skilled therapy services to help them regain their independence. Our Speech Language Pathologist, Karen, has over 13 years of experience working with adult and geriatric clients. She has experience treating expressive and receptive aphasia, as well as Primary Progressive Aphasia.

We focus on both client and family/caregiver involvement, to ensure better outcomes and increased satisfaction. Our goal is to provide functional and personalized therapy by providing in-home visits for patients local to Abingdon, Virginia. Telehealth visits are available for patients who are outside of our coverage area.
