Our Mission: To implement a resource to the community to provide skilled, ethical, and evidence-based therapeutic services with person-centered care.

Areas of Expertise:

As you begin therapy with FCSC, we will utilize qualitative and quantitative measures to assess your area(s) of concern. With the utilization of these measures, we will be able to adequately determine a plan of care or treatment plan. In addition to utilizing the qualitative and quantitative measures, we always encourage each patient and family to determine their own goals as well. This allows therapy to be functional and person-centered to achieve maximum results and carryover of new strategies. We hope that each of our clients feels as though their therapy sessions are personalized and geared towards what they want and need.

In addition to utilizing qualitative and quantitative measures, we also identify each of our client’s ability to function within the community. It is no surprise that when individuals experience strokes, traumatic brain injury, or are dealing with a neurodegenerative disease; participating in events, or going to the grocery store can cause stress and/or anxiety.  It is our goal to support community integration, and provide each of our clients with the tools to effectively participate and engage in community activities.

Meet the Co-Founders:

Emily Wegman holds licensure in New York State and with the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association to practice Speech-Language Pathology. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY University at Buffalo and her Master’s Degree from Nazareth College. Born and raised in Rochester, NY Emily saw it fitting to give back to the community that helped raise her. Emily is working and has worked in various settings, including acute care, acute rehab, short-term rehab, and long-term care. Her focus in providing speech-language therapy is to create and identify individualized programs and goals based on the client’s needs to improve quality of life and overall confidence.

Lynn Patterson holds licensure in New York State and with the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY University at Buffalo and her Master’s degree from Nazareth College. Lynn has worked in settings including short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. Her goal as a speech-language pathologist is to give back to the Rochester community by providing person-centered services to maximize the independence of individuals with neurodegenerative diseases, traumatic brain injuries, and stroke.
