Adler Aphasia Center’s flagship location in Bergen County in Maywood, NJ provides a long-term therapeutic environment of innovative programs and services for people with aphasia and their families. Programs are facilitated by licensed speech-language pathologists and trained professionals in a nurturing group environment. Through life skill activities that focus on conversation and communication, the arts, fitness, technology and more, our program helps people with aphasia:
- Improve their communication skills;
- Exercise their cognitive skills;
- Build their self-esteem and confidence;
- Make new social connections;
- Enhance their quality of life.
Center members with aphasia participate from 10:30 am – 2:15 pm twice a week. The Center also offers caregiver and family support groups facilitated by our Center’s Life Coach.
