One Aphasia Action

One Aphasia Action: Day 6

One Aphasia Action is a set of small, actionable activities you can do from home that will help you retain speech progress.

When you’re stressed out, it feels easier to grab a bag of chips than try to figure out a real meal. But healthy eating is important for treating aphasia. Our brains are in our bodies, and our bodies are fueled by the food we eat.

If you’re running out of creative options, jump on this website that helps you build a meal out of ingredients you have in your house. You tell Supercook what you have, checking the boxes on the left side of the screen, and it begins giving you new recipes to try. Bon appétit!

You can find all of the One Aphasia Action activities on this list. This works best if you start on Day 1 and work at your own pace, even if you’re finding this project long after it has started. Try every activity, even if you only do it once. Keep doing the activities you like, repeating them the next day along with the new activity, and drop the ones that don’t work for you.
