One Aphasia Action is a set of small, actionable activities you can do from home that will help you retain speech progress.

We may need to stay at home right now, but that doesn’t mean you need to stay inside. Make sure you stand outside for five minutes today and breathe fresh air. Taking these moments to reconnect with the world and relax can help the words flow. Take a walk, even if it’s just back and forth on a driveway or a few steps on a balcony. If you can’t get outside, open a window and sit beside it for five minutes. Or even smaller, make a plan to bring flowers or a small plant indoors to look at while you relax.

You can find all of the One Aphasia Action activities on this list. This works best if you start on Day 1 and work at your own pace, even if you’re finding this project long after it has started. Try every activity, even if you only do it once. Keep doing the activities you like, repeating them the next day along with the new activity, and drop the ones that don’t work for you.
