WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

Journey Through Speech: Let’s Talk About Travel!

Journey Through Speech

If you love to explore the world and miss traveling, join our virtual travel conversation group Journey Through Speech. This peer-led conversation group meets once a month to discuss all things related to travel and culture. In this aphasia-friendly space we will be sharing our travel experiences, exploring a variety of cultures, discussing places we have been and want to go, exchange travel tips, and much more.

Come join us and tell your story of places you have been or if you want to listen to others describe their tales from traveling for your future travels plans, you are more than welcome to listen. If you have challenges speaking, we got you! You can also share your pictures, videos or have a loved ones tell your story. Practice your speech while you tell us your experiences!

The group meets on the first Friday of the month at 4 pm ET.  If you are interested in joining the mailing list for future sessions, please email [email protected].

If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Meet Your Hosts:

Azlynda A.: “Hi there. I’m Azlynda and I have lived with aphasia since surviving my stroke in 2003. Since then, I have benefited greatly from groups where I can meet with and learn from others who also have aphasia.

I was born and raised in Singapore, went to college in Canada, and have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2000. I love to travel, explore cemeteries and discover new places and cultures – and I love to learn about the experiences of others too.”

Craig
: “Hi everyone! My name is Craig, and I have aphasia 18 years ago. I live in San Francisco and I took a photo of the 61st (top) Floor at Salesforce Tower. I’ve traveled to 40 States in the USA, and other countries. I enjoy it very much! Where have you traveled?”
