About the Author:
Gail Weissman, MS,MA, CCCSLP is a Speech Language Pathologist with many years of experience working with adult stroke survivors. She’s passionate about helping people with aphasia reach their highest potential. She earned a B.S. in Hearing and Speech Sciences from The University of Maryland, an M.S in Audiology from Teacher’s College at Columbia University and an M.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from LIU Post. Her most recent book, Alphi, The Dog With Special Aphasia Powers, is a book designed to educate family members of stroke survivors on how to communicate best with loved ones who have aphasia.
